PROFASTER ALPHA

Only model approved by the Defense Innovation Agency(in front of nearly 1000 other visor proposals) PROFASTER ALPHA is a printable visor support from 10' on an FDM 3D printer with 0.4mm nozzle, from 170 mm platen, and stackable. The visor thus created, ultra-light (5.5 g), can be closed at the level of the forehead, thus offering complete protection.
Model deposited and offered as a file under Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND license, a deliberate choice in the particular context of the Covid-19 crisis, PROFASTER ALPHA allows both the rapid manufacture of large quantities of visors (up to 120_cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_/ day with 1 printer), and to provide additional protection from above with no tools other than a hole punch and a pair of scissors.
The protection offered then meets the needs of French or foreign hospital personnel where protection on the top is recommended or even required, without compromising on the ease of production and assembly, and with an ergonomic shape based on precise biometric data.

USE AND STATUS OF USE
PROFASTER ALPHA is intended for use by all personnel:

exposed to the risks of contamination by the Coronavirus,
-
needing facial protection that does not interfere with movement,
-
having access to and using sterilization by the usual means,
-
wishing a high level of protection thanks to the closure of the top.
MATERIALS AND PRODUCTION METHODS
PROFASTER ALPHA has been designed for the production of:

by 3D printing all processes (FDM, SLS, MJF, resins);

by laser cutting (contact us);

by mold injection.
You will find in the .zip file all the information to print PROFASTER ALPHA on any 3D FDM printer whose plate is more than 170 mm side.
